On this day:

Update

Had a good night last night.

1. Dopamine reduced from .6/hour to .2/hour (for her PDA). This is good news. More 'weaning' of the drug therapy means that her heart is maturing. Her BP is around 48/26 consistently. Prior to dopamine, she was in the 30's systolic which is too low.

2. Her O2 delivered through the vent is 25-30%. This is down from before. This also is a small weaning. They don't have plans just yet to wean completely off the vent until her blood gases stabilize. Her O2 sat is high 90's.

3. Her bloodgases are increasing where they need to increase, and decreasing where they need to decrease. All of them are not in normal range as of yet, however. They've increased the time between the drawing of bloodgases to 8 hours now. This is up from 2 hours, then 4 hours. I see this as a good sign....

4. They're feeding her some sort of water now. This has pushed out the meconium, and she now has normal poop. She also is urinating well, which indicates good bladder functionality.
