On this day:

Update Monday Afternoon

Anna has had a couple more "spells" of bradycardia (drop in heart rate) today. We did, however, discover during our visit an empty bottle of breast milk (dated 12-11-04) that had been fed to her within the past 24hr that had anesthesia and narcotics in it. Dr. Manchandia does not feed any milk to her preemies with that in it because she doesn't want it to depress her babies. She is on vacation and Dr. Whitton, the other neonatologist there, feeds the babies any breast milk that doesn't have chemotherapy or radioactive drugs in it. We just took all remaining milk from their freezer that has any narcotics in it just to be on the safe side. We'll see if it makes a difference. In the mean time, she has been put back on one of her meds.
